1. To bring together key groups from the U.S., Mexico, and Canada to review NAFTA's intentions, to share their experiences with the NAFTA model, and to identify the overall impact of NAFTA with respect to food and agriculture, the environment, energy, immigration, and labor; and
2. To discuss alternatives placing trade within a broader context of development

1. Has NAFTA fostered growth in North America and have the benefits outweighed the costs? Has it led to development? For whom?
2. How does NAFTA impact farmers, migrant workers, and communities?
3. How has NAFTA impacted the food industry?
4. How have immigration patterns shifted since NAFTA?
5. How has NAFTA impacted energy and the environment?
6. What is the Security and Prosperity Partnership?
7. What policy tools will be needed to protect domestic rural development, good jobs, farmers, food quality, food safety and rural livelihoods as well as appropriate forms of regional development? How do these tools differ among the three countries?
